Discernment for challenging times: Not right and wrong: Right and almost right

I read a wonderful quote recently, as to the power of discernment. The quote stated that discernment was “not the difference between right and wrong, but the difference between right and almost right.” That seems like a potentially potent concept for these most challenging of times. It is relatively easy to know the difference between right and not right. In these times, where there is so much information and people expressing their opinions, the harder concept is really to discern between what is right and what is almost right.

Being almost right is easy. You have a sense of what most people will say, and then say something that is somewhat along those lines, and you are just about there. To be accurate, to gauge what is actually happening in situations, is a much more difficult task. That is the work of genius, or at least wisdom. Being right means going the extra mile, finding the real answer to situations. Implicit is the sense that a person, will care, when they make the journey into accuracy. Thank you for today.

Erev Thanksgiving: Mixing some colloquisms, there :)

On the eve of Thanksgiving; it is a time to be grateful for sure; and realize that I basically have everything I need to carry out my mission. I was blessed to be out passing out someĀ  brochures today. It is a wonderful feeling, sort of, lol; to have something to be out disseminating. It is challenging, and yet that is where the successes come. I am grateful for having what I have, and being able to do the work. Thanksgiving is supposed to be very cold in Boston tomorrow; so I am delighted I got most of my running around and stuff done today. I believe I can make it through the holiday, without going out, as a new pal encouraged today, lol.

I am at peace in the midst of challenging circumstances and in some ways, you cannot ask for more than that. Learning to be at peace, wherever you are, is an honor for sure. Such skill relates to having a trust that everything is happening for a reason, as well. Said belief is a deep blessing.
