I have a gift, to share:

Diamond from coal

Diamond from coal

My entire approach to mediation and coaching through the Science of Inner Strength, and my own healing touch, I feel on some level is a gift that I have been able to develop for the world. Like anything great, it can take the most extreme of pressure to create that gift; as in the hottest figurative fire, produces the best diamonds or whatever. Like a sacred sword created through that firing process; my gift is extremely sturdy ad strong, and ready and able to serve.

I am grateful for ALL of my life experiences; as it seems that virtually everyone of them was necessary to produce the overall result. We cannot cherry pick our life experiences, selecting only good ways. Perhaps there was once a day and a way, in which I sought to do that. Yet, more than nineteen years of dealing with challenge at one of its most core levels, taught me so much in terms of learning what adversity, challenge, and hard times can really do for us.

Unbelievably I did get out to write my book

With this heat, the challenges were unbelieable. Fortunately I am sitting in relative cool at the moment. I don’t know everything but, I know this book really could be something. I am beginning to believe in its contents and themes on a much deeper level, than the beginning steps. Nuff said.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jon Myers

Oh Henry, I had to celebrate tonight:

Today, a nice young woman named Ata sat down near mr with a one year old boy named Henry. they started playing with one of those blocks and beads things, where you move them along wire rails. hyenry was looking at me often. He had big eyes like I did when I was a kid.

Anyway, Henry was moving blocks and beads and I picked up on the colors. I started talking to Henry saying :”yellow, yellow.” Sure enough within fifteen seconds Henry said part of is first word: ello. I realized for real that as good as I am as a mediator, I am even better as a Father. I truly have a knack with the little ones! In the :oddest” way it reaffirmed years and years of actions on my part. I got swept away and went out to celebrate a tad this evening. Oh Henry.

Tears, prayers, and determination for Boston and the world:

Lives shattered in our extremely close-knit community of Boston today, at the end of the Marathon. For the moment I shed my tears for the shock to our community local here and for those beyond. Soon there will be prayers for those who suffered injury and worse; and for our community and world itself. Ultimately there will be determination again that the forces of good overcome those of evil in oue community and our world!`

Life as a game of inches; I recall on the playground:

Sometimes life is a true game of inches, and sometimes it is just a matter of fate or something. I recall being on the playground of James Madison #33 Elementary School in fifth grade or so; standing near this huge concrete wall/fence. At one moment I just decided to move from the walls and this huge platch of concrete just landed where I was standing, as a kid was walking on the wall and dislodged this concrete, less than a second or so after I moved.

I feel that way today, having made a move, and sensing something falling right near where I was standing. As I say, you can’t really look backwards and life at times can be a game of inches, particularly for those on the playing field of life, not standing on the sidelines. So all in all a great day, home opener for the Red Sox and all of that, although I am back in Newton at the Highlands mobile office at the moment. Thank you I suppose for making the move at the right time, truly!

“Fighting” AND a deviant personality:

One of the many lessons I have learned through greater and lesser things is the entire notion of “fighting;” as in it is solely something to do as a matter of necessity, and not something that anyone should wander wantonlyh into. In the main, as adults I am talking about more psychological or legal fighting I suppose, rather than physical fighting. Yet in any event, fighting of any nature, of sane and rational people is primarily a matter of last resort. My last physical fight, I believe was mainly in seventh grade, where I had an advantage in wrestling the kid, but other kids kind of coerced into a boxing match, and he landed a couple of nice blows. Believe it or not, I was actually impressed, and went to him afterwards and complimented on his boxing, even though I would have won otherwise. He responded by telling me that his father would take him down the basement and train him in boxing.

I have shared that lesson I learned with my son, as is in be cautious about fights because, you never know whose father has taken them down the basement and taught them about boxing, lol. Even more so, as adults, that princple applies or even morphs into the sense that really it does not make sense to fight in the first place often enough, and again, you never really know how invested a person might be in a particular situation; unless you truly have a legitimate stake in the fight, it is best again to stay out of it.  In the “oddest” way, I witnessed some members of a certain family adopt the notion that “fighting” was a good thing, even on a physical level, well into advanced “decades.” It truly was the most “ludicrous” of things, as A) they were not so strong; and B) what kind of insanity had gripped these folks to engage in physcial fighting in the first place?

What is profoundly reinforced for me, is the notion of how much jealousy and rage can set up for people life long antagonisms and hatred. It is unfathomable that jealousy induces such deviant behavior!

But then again, people can find their courage at any point: No matter how far south you have gone, it only takes one step to start going north.

I am a supreme believer in peoples’ capacity to grow and change. Finding our inner courage and voice is a fascinating thing. I am very taken by an expression I have read: “No matter how far south you have gone, it only takes one step to start going north.” People can learn AND become heroic at any age. Heroism is appealling at any age. For years now, I have operated on the principle, that in a crowd of 1000, one person with courage is a majority. Through hell and high water I chose to learn such a thing, but others can learn it too, in fact it is as inspiring for me to see others exercise their courage, as it is for me to do so.

I become really moved, when I see people choose to work it out, a person stand up with courage; people who do not give up. These stories of which there are many, bring tears to my eyes at times and to form the salt of the earth. Never be afraid to do what is right!
