Whoa nelly; obstacles are made to be overcome, right? Right!!

I would be remiss, if I did not say that overcoming obstacles is a great challenge. Sometimes, a true champion will jump off into new terrain that seems quite daunting. When your cause is right, you can and will rise to the challenge, with the right attitude. I never said it would be easy though. So up I go, one step at a time, eye on the ball.

I am thrilled I have a ball to look at; I mean life can get quite depressing I fathom, if and when you do not have a legitimate goal. Rising through the ranks itself, is not necessarily a legitimate goal; there must be a redeeming purpose to that rise. There must be something in your work that is sincerely about helping humanity. The hard part, is doing it, in deed; more than just in words. It is easy to preach or write about benevolence, empathy and ALL of that; but the really hard and worthy part is exemplifying those qualities on tasks large and small. True values are used often and regularly!

Mark that date: 11, 12, 13; the day we turned the beat around:

Yes, that is today’s today 11/12/13; the second last such date of this century; AND I feel blessed. CAVeX3rOv7c Gloria can do this one. I do feel like I turned the beat around today; not that I was not doing that ALL along, but today, will become and remain an extremely significant day, in the evolution of humankind. Turn the beat around people; decency is on the rise, hatred will be defeated, if not eradicated, in our life time.

What is worst is young people who hate; I mean people who have just picked up and accepted hate as a way of life. People: We are turning the beat around, slowly and surely; occasionally quickly. I mean how about people younger than me, who hate. Eeeek… lawyers younger than me, who hate; what a way of life to have accepted. The cynicism is ending; we shall overcome. Deep in my heart, oh yes, I do believe that decency shall prevail. I love you ALL; thank you to the Upper Falls, neighborhood of recent; we are starting to make music. Turn the…

Mediation is for adults: Even though I held my own with one hand tied behind my back, as it stands:

It really is becoming more and more apparent on some level. The legal process almost becomes like children having a food fight, the way most people conduct things. Attack what they perceive to be the weakness of the other party; refuse to hear the other point of view. Man o live, it sure seems almost like a game for children.

On the other hand, mediation is for adults. Both parties must be able to recognize their is a larger goal, other than merely their own interest. Each person’s interest is important, but so is something called the greater good. It seems that many attorneys I have run into focus solely on their interest and money. Mediation as I am indicating requires a degree of maturity beyond that; it requires people to want to get to a better place, other than just “beating” the other person.

Adults of the world unite; throw off your chains, bullies behaving in a childish manner will not prevail. True intelligence, respect and yes adult maturity will lead our way forward. Children, time for bed. Thanks.

Phewww….work, work, work:

I am glad I get up early some days to formulate a plan for the day and all of that. Drafted a letter, made a couple of phone calls early on, and so on and so forth. All so I can clear the desks eventually to get out and presumable get out some brochures on this unseasonably warm day. For prospective clients please bear in mind it is the precision of the Assessment, conducted in a calm and friendly style that is worth you getting involved with Calm Interventions. You can begin the process for the Magic 6 hour x $600 hour Assessment by filling out the contact form at www.calminterventions.com

It would be terrific to take another day off, but I am not certain I want to push too far. Sometimes processes take longer than we anticipate and we just must be patient during those times. I feel like I am climbing Jacob’s ladder; what is Jacob’s ladder anyway?

It better not be to heaven, cause heaven can wait. In life generally, patience and perseverance are really terrific qualities; that seems like the third time today, I used the word “terrific.” I am not certain, if I will get out to distribute brochures today; a couple of real life types of things seem to have popped up and all of that. Mediating, mediating, mediating, the joy of life.

Nobody forgot the magic 6 hour x $600/hour Magic Assessment, have you? I may be able to squeeze one Assessment in, in the near future. You do want to change your life for the better, do you not? Imagine, coming from a place of inner strength, not undue emotion. Knowing yourself can be a terrific process. Everybody, especially when they act that way has a legitimacy here on earth. It is about knowing who you really are and finding your purpose, divine light, inner strength. Then, it is a matter of communicating your interests and directions positively and appropriately. “Appropriately” is a key word of the present and future.  617-899-0383 or jon@calminterventions.com Thanks.

That was truly cool:

I was riding my public Rolls Royce, in Needham, and a young man got on with a football helmet, clearly in the vogue of a real player. I struck up a conversation with him, as I recall well my full gear football days from Northeastern Pennsylvania, Friday night Fever. In any event, this young man  seem extremely solid and indeed was the starting quarterback on a prominent Catholic School from the other side of the river. In fact, he told me that he had started since his freshman year.

I had one last business card and extended it to him, and he inquired about my capacity to work with him on job related things; a great part of my past, check out www.calminterventions.com It is somewhat in that spirit that suddenly gives me an insight and inkling in a scenario I have long worked to resolve. In any event, I am extremely grateful for today, for the work, the necessities and even a tad of play. Remember that Monty Python song: “Always looking on the bright side of life. Ta-da”

Believe it or not, I got to write my book today:

There was a fair amount going on, so I was not certain I would get to write in my book today. I am extremely thankful that I did get that opportunity, and I used it, all 81.592 words of it. It is kind of funny that I am writing about my day, in the book. As I say, in this contemplated third section the book has taken a fascinating turn. I am just sitting there writing, following my fingers and the words that come out of them, an extremely interesting process.

So I must say today was a happy and productive day. I did do an extremely early morning shift of writing too, and working on a case.  I wonder if I will need to publicize my latest characterizations of a pattern of behavior I have assessed, in the most general sense, I suppose.  I wonder what percentage of the world is “affected” by emotional/psychological abuse? It could be a great part. The key human element is for people to learn to express things in an appropriate manner, good and bad.

Mobile office

So much to say, so few words. Unfortunately the Zimmerman case must be viewed as a maturity step for America. A substantial part of us must come to terms with the notion that ultimately things are decided by facts, not opinion. We have lived in a time, when people have felt that by merely stating their opinion, perhaps especially emphatically that their opinion would decide.

America’s days of luxury are done for the forseeable future. Hard work, determination, integrity are the values of this country, and the sole things that will propel us forward. There is far too much trickery in our legal systems, our media and political system. The Zimmerman case is an extremely hard earned lesson about the true equality of people, and how most things these days must be determined by facts, precision and true honesty. Most people want and deserve to live in such a world, where people look at things as honestly and fairly as they can and make decisions. The days of vast corruption are coming to an end; the people deserve no less.

Healing, the world needs healing

The sheer bombastic intensity of the Zimmerman thing just reveals the fragile nature of so many. Screaming is not a strength. People need healing; we’ll honesty too. I am in a place of forgiveness so I will not be too deterred by anything today.

Just for the record:

When I referenced “a turn” in the Zimmerman case, a couple of days ago, something surely gave me the feeling that an understanding had been reached as to what the final verdict would be.  It seems that the Judge pushing things so much, and acting a tad aggressively seemed to reveal certain behind the scene factors. I suppose, it could possibly vary from that, although it would take six exceptionally courageous jurors. The fact that it is six, rather than twelve further diminishes the likelihood of that.

Still I will keep an open mind. But even though the Zimmerman case is a criminal matter and its entry into court possibly unavoidable, the entire notion further promulgates the need for mediation for most people as a mode for resolving conflict. Courts have a way of being extremely high stakes which is bad enough. Then the processes themselves become susceptible to whims and influences that are beyond peoples’ control. When it comes to conflict in general, please choose mediation whenever possible. It is not only more humane, but more human. contact www.calminterventions.com
